Job Purpose and Impact The Crop Inputs Sales Representative will, with guidance, sell directly to the grower customer or indirectly through various sales channels. In this role, you will conduct face to face and remote sales with new and existing grower customers, assist in evaluating grower customer needs and suggest appropriate products, services and solutions.

Requirements

Diploma/Certificate or bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 3 years or more of relevant experience.
Experience in agricultural sales and foundation in agronomic knowledge.
Able and willing to travel locally for business purposes.
Possess a valid, full Canadian Driver’s License in good standing, authorizing you to drive independently during the course of your employment
Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada

CCA(Certified Crop Advisor) or PAg (Professional Agrologist) or RTAg or ability to get one.

Responsibilities

Identify potential customers and handle existing customer relationships.
With guidance conduct market research and pricing, sales and merchandising activities.
Monitor customer and competitor activity and industry trends.
Protect, grow and diversify the relationship with targeted customers.
Support business growth by disseminating favorable information about the organization and its products and services.
Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
