About The Position

Somnia Anesthesia is seeking per diem Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists to join its team at St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard, California. The role offers a rate of $175 per hour, with additional stipends and hourly pay for call duty; call is not required but is encouraged. Scheduling is flexible, with 10-hour shifts. Clinical cases and call coverage are scheduled Monday through Friday, while weekend coverage is call-only. Call is from home once cases are completed. The practice includes St. John’s Regional Medical Center and Dignity St. John Camarillo. St. John’s Regional has six operating rooms running, as well as interventional radiology, endoscopy, a cath lab/cardiac service, and obstetrics. Camarillo has two operating rooms running and a cath lab, with no obstetrics or cardiac cases. The combined practice description lists eight operating rooms plus two obstetric rooms and approximately 8,036 cases per year, including general, orthopedic, urologic, gynecologic, vascular, gastrointestinal, outpatient, cardiac, neurosurgical, occasional healthy pediatric, and obstetric cases. Obstetric anesthesia is covered by a separate team. St. John’s Regional Medical Center is a 365-bed, nonprofit acute-care hospital serving Ventura County. The hospital is described as a Healthgrades Top 250 Hospital, a thrombectomy-capable stroke center, a STEMI Receiving Center, and a cardiac-care center. It also has an accredited cancer center and Ventura County’s only all-private-room Level III NICU. The position is based in coastal Oxnard, with access to beaches, harbors, outdoor recreation, and regional highways and airports. Somnia Anesthesia is a physician-owned, clinician-led anesthesia group that has focused on anesthesia since 1996 and invests in clinician professional development.

Requirements

Active state license.
DEA registration.
State CDS registration.
NBCRNA certification.
At least six months of practice experience outside of training.

Responsibilities
