Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Comfortable practicing independently as well as a shared resource for attending anesthesiologists
- ACLS, PALS, BLS, and NBCRNA certification
- Current CRNA License
Nice To Haves
- Regional anesthesia experience preferred but not necessary
Responsibilities
- Administer general, regional and monitored anesthesia and analgesia care for scheduled (non-emergent) pediatric orthopedic procedures and imaging at the discretion of and under the supervision of an attending anesthesiologist
- Evaluate patients preoperatively and, in consultation with the attending anesthesiologist, formulate and carry out a full anesthesia care plan
- Safely transport patients to and from an anesthetizing location and ensure appropriate care during the postoperative period
- Be an effective team member and interact with staff and patients in a way that shows respect and consideration for the individual and those around you
