About The Position
This is a Locum Tenens position for a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in Hershey, PA. The role is inpatient and clinical only, covering from ASAP through March 31, 2027. The schedule involves 3 13-hour shifts per week, either 7am-8pm or 7pm-8am. This position is to supplement existing staff. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered by the agency. The average daily patient volume is 8-12, and rounding is required. The case mix includes Cardiac Critical Care, ECMO, Impella, LVAD, and Cardiac Transplant.
Requirements
- Board Certified required
- Licensed in PA
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
Responsibilities
- Manage HVI CCU patients under Intensivist guidance
- Perform daily rounding, patient management, and order entry
- Perform procedures including arterial lines, central lines, Swan-Ganz catheter, and IABP removal
- Manage VA & VV ECMO, Impella, LVAD, and cardiac transplant patients
- Work 13-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
