About The Position
Seeking a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a locum tenens position in Fortuna, CA. This role involves providing comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages in a high-volume outpatient setting. Responsibilities include diagnosing and managing acute and chronic illnesses, performing routine physical exams, health screenings, and preventive care. The NP/PA will also order and interpret diagnostic tests, coordinate patient care, and ensure timely chart closure within 72 hours.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Valid CA License
- DEA Required
- BLS Certification
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar setting
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, including pediatric and adult populations.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses in a high-volume outpatient setting.
- Perform routine physical exams, health screenings, and preventive care.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including labs and imaging.
- Coordinate patient care and referrals as needed, ensuring timely chart closure within 72 hours.
