About The Position

This is an outpatient coverage role for a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA). The initial contract is for 3 months with the potential to extend. The provider will see an average of 20 patients per day (PPD) and the schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no weekends or call required. The patient population includes all ages. The EMR system used is EPIC. Credentialing takes approximately 21 days.

Requirements

• Active Georgia licensure
• Board certification
• AHA BLS certification
• Minimum 1-year Primary Care experience or equivalent
• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree focused on an NP specialty (e.g., family practice, adult-gerontology, pediatrics) OR Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) degree from an accredited program
• Active and unencumbered advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) license in Georgia OR Active and unencumbered physician assistant (PA) license in Georgia
• National certification as an NP in a relevant specialty area by a recognized certifying body (e.g., American Academy of Nurse Practitioners [AANP]) OR National certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Prescribe medications and manage chronic conditions
• Provide patient education and counseling on healthy lifestyle choices
• Perform procedures as permitted by state regulations and APP specialty
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly
