About The Position

Pediatric Sub-Specialty Faculty (PSF), in conjunction with Rady Children’s Health, is seeking a full-time Pediatric Critical Care Hospitalist Physician to join its growing team. The role provides care to pediatric critical care patients from birth through young adulthood in conjunction with, and always under the supervision of, the Critical Care Attending Physician. The service is exclusively inpatient and includes shared rotating night and weekend call.

PSF is a private pediatric subspecialty group practicing at Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC), a children’s healthcare system based in Orange County, California. CHOC is dedicated to children’s health and well-being through clinical expertise, advocacy, outreach, and research. Its regional network includes hospitals in Orange and Mission Viejo, clinics, a pediatric residency program, and centers of excellence. CHOC is affiliated with the University of California, Irvine, and has received recognition for hospital and nursing excellence, including Magnet designation and a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Beacon Award for Pediatric Critical Care Excellence.

Requirements

• Be a pediatrician or pediatric critical care physician.
• Be board certified or board eligible in general pediatrics or pediatric critical care.
• Be eligible for an unrestricted California medical license.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care to pediatric critical care patients from birth to young adulthood.
• Provide care in conjunction with and under the supervision of the Critical Care Attending Physician at all times.
• Participate in shared rotating night and weekend call.
