About The Position

The Crisis Shift Lead will assist the Director of Crisis Services with clinical and administrative oversight of programs and services. This role involves managing staffing shifts, filling job vacancies, and supervising shift leads. The Crisis Shift Lead will monitor the quality and timely submission of clinical documentation, provide ongoing support and supervision to Shift Leaders, and ensure new staff are properly oriented and trained. This position also involves training staff on documentation requirements, disseminating information, and providing case support to ensure client needs are met. The Crisis Shift Lead will also conduct chart reviews and ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and on time.

  • Ensuring that all new staff are properly oriented upon hire and that they participate in agency training as required
  • Re-orienting existing staff on paperwork and unit requirements as needed
  • Providing training for staff on documentation requirements and ensuring that all staff meet no less than the minimum requirements for documentation standards
  • Ensuring that Supervision Plans and Logs are completed per requirements
  • Disseminating pertinent information to all staff
  • Providing training to team members with a focus on consistency across shifts
  • Assisting shift leads with case support by identifying additional services needed for client care, coordinating, and collaborating with relevant services, preparing, and discussing discharge plans with each client assigned
  • Ensuring shift notes, 15-minute bed checks, and all other required shift duties are complete and documented before end of shift
  • Ensuring that necessary documentation within Credible is done so that UM staff can do what needs to be for the MCO's
  • Communicating with UM Staff of all new admits and discharges and ensuring that discharge summaries are completed within Credible
  • Conducting chart reviews monthly and provide feedback to shift leads as needed
