About The Position

This position works closely with other DHHS Divisions, other state agencies, community partners, and cross system stakeholders to identify and develop policies and programs that advance the Divisions goals across the behavioral health crisis continuum. It provides strategic leadership to internal and external planning efforts, ensuring alignment with state and federal expectations for crisis response systems. The position leads coordination of crisis related grant and funding opportunities, including identifying available opportunities, facilitating application development, ensuring timely submission, and managing initial implementation activities until permanent staff or structures are in place. The role represents the Division on internal DHHS and external committees, work groups, and collaborative initiatives related to crisis services, suicide prevention, and system transformation. It provides clinical and administrative supervision, coaching, and mentoring to staff engaged in developing, monitoring, and implementing behavioral health crisis services. The position also provides strategic leadership for clinical deliverables and system quality improvements in partnership with internal teams and statewide stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in the area of assignment from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of experience in a closely related program; or Bachelor's degree in the area of assignment field from an appropriately accredited institution and five years of experience in a closely related program; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities
