About The Position

Crisis Connections is hiring an in-person Crisis Services Clinician for Dispatch in Seattle, Washington. The clinician provides real-time clinical decision-making and crisis support, combining direct crisis assessment with clinical leadership for crisis phone staff and volunteers. The role focuses on high-acuity crisis work in a collaborative, structured setting, without an ongoing caseload, field response, or productivity quotas. The position is full-time on a swing shift from 4 PM to 12 AM Pacific Time and pays $37.24 per hour. It is union-represented by OPEIU.

Requirements

Master’s degree in a social science or related field.
Eligible for, pursuing, or already holding Agency Affiliated Counselor (AAC) licensure or higher.
At least 2 years of supervised clinical experience working with individuals experiencing serious mental illness.
Strong clinical judgment, calm decision-making, and comfort in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical assessment, suicide risk evaluation, and crisis intervention by telephone.
Serve as the clinical lead on shift, offering real-time consultation, coaching, and support to crisis phone staff and volunteers.
Coordinate crisis response, including hospital diversion, triage, and one-call coordination with first responders.
Authorize inpatient services using clinical judgment and least-restrictive care principles.
Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to high clinical and ethical standards.
Collaborate with community partners, hospitals, mobile crisis teams, and public mental health agencies.
