Youth Villages’ Specialized Crisis Services (SCS) Program provides rapid assessment and intervention for youth up to age 18 experiencing psychiatric emergencies. Staff conduct strength-based assessments and crisis management to support the safety of youth and others. Services are provided in the home or community, with staff working with youth, families, and community partners to assess risks and develop immediate stabilization plans. The program also provides ongoing treatment and intervention to maintain family stability until appropriate long-term services can be secured. The PRN Crisis Response Counselor provides mobile crisis response, may use crisis respite homes when appropriate, and supports youth and families until suitable services are secured. The role includes collaboration with adult crisis teams and community consumers, regular professional development meetings, and timely documentation in an electronic medical record. The schedule is flexible and non-traditional, based on the availability of the youth and families served. The posted pay range is $20–$22 per hour, based on education and clinical license.
