Youth Villages’ Specialized Crisis Services Program provides rapid assessment and intervention for youth up to age 18 experiencing psychiatric emergencies. The program offers strength-based crisis assessments and management to help ensure the safety of youth and others. Staff work with youth, families, and community partners to assess risk and develop immediate stabilization plans. Services are delivered in homes or community settings, with ongoing treatment and intervention to support family stability until longer-term services are arranged. The PRN Crisis Hotline Counselor manages the crisis hotline and dispatches counselors to respond in the community. The schedule is flexible and non-traditional, based on the availability of the youth and families served. The position requires a current, valid driver’s license, an automobile for work purposes, and proof of auto insurance. Applicable mileage is reimbursed for community-based staff. Compensation is $20–$22 per hour, based on education and clinical license. Benefits are excluded for variable-status employees.
