The Crisis Intervention Worker creates a welcoming, supportive, and safe environment for residents of our Women’s Centre. In this role, the Crisis Intervention Worker provides emotional support, goal planning, advocacy, crisis intervention, safety planning, and access to resources and referrals for women (including transgender women). The Crisis Intervention Worker also contributes to the administrative, safety, and operational responsibilities of the safe house, helping to maintain a secure, supportive, and well-maintained environment for residents, children, and staff. Through a trauma-informed and client-centered approach, the Crisis Intervention Worker supports residents in navigating crises, identifying goals, and accessing community resources that promote safety, stability, and well-being.
