Requirements

Bachelors degree required
2 –4 years Related Experience
knowledge of Diagnosis Statistical Manual Of Mental Disorder -Version V (DSM-5) diagnosis and psychotropic medications
Ability to communicate clearly in English, both orally and in writing.
Knowledge of Crisis Intervention & Prevention.
Ability to organize, prioritize & manage multiple projects and follow through to ensure tasks are complete

Nice To Haves

Masters degree preferred

Responsibilities

Plans and provides mental health screening assessments, crisis supportive interventions, dispositions and referrals, in consultation with the on-call psychiatrist and or with the coordinator for patients in crisis.
Conduct crisis counseling for patients in crisis situations / bereavement.
Conduct comprehensive clinical assessment.
Assess for suicide and homicide risk in the Emergency Department.
