The Crisis Intervention Specialist will work alongside first responders to provide on-site crisis intervention, de-escalation, and stabilization services for adults and children experiencing or who are at risk for experiencing a behavioral health crisis. These intensive supportive services are time-limited, designed to prevent additional behavioral health crises and mitigate adverse health outcomes. Specialists are expected to work on-scene, conduct mental health assessments, engage in de-escalation, make appropriate referrals, and conduct follow-up services as needed. The candidate must be comfortable driving throughout the community and working with clients in home.
