About The Position

Center for Community Resources Crisis Intervention Services is looking for a compassionate mental health professional to join their team in Clarion, PA. This is a casual position, working evenings/overnights and on-call, with flexibility to cover weekends. Crisis Intervention services operate 24/7, 365 days a year, providing telephone and mobile assessment, crisis counseling, conflict resolution, referral, and linking to community resources. The role is within a supportive team environment, helping individuals access mental health/drug and alcohol services. The agency has been voted a Best Place to Work for 11 consecutive years.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field with major course work in sociology, social work, psychology, gerontology, history, criminal justice, nursing, counseling, education, theology, political science or related field.
  • One year experience in mental health field required.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Proof of auto insurance.
  • Act 33/34 and FBI clearances required.
  • Maintained full-time, part-time, or voluntary work experience in the past 12 months.
  • Act 33/34 and FBI Clearances.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Car Insurance Coverage Verification.
  • Able to exercise sound judgment.
  • Flexibility in scheduling.
  • Take the initiative while being cooperative and empathetic.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

  • Have lived experience with a mental health disorder and have maintained two years of stability while living with a mental health diagnosis.

Responsibilities

  • Provide telephone and mobile assessment.
  • Conduct crisis counseling.

  • Respond to mental health emergencies.
  • Work on call to respond to the community.
