About The Position

The Vermont Intelligence Center is hiring a Criminal Intelligence Analyst to play a vital role in advancing public safety and homeland security efforts across Vermont. This position will primarily focus on international and domestic terrorism, and critical infrastructure resiliency. This position will conduct research and gather information from multiple sources, provide case support to criminal investigations, analyze and interpret intelligence related to crime and security concerns, develop written intelligence products that inform decision-makers and partner agencies, and present intelligence briefings to law enforcement, elected officials, and other local, state, and federal stakeholders. This is a dynamic role that supports collaboration across agencies and helps ensure that Vermont’s communities remain safe and resilient. This is a Limited Service position, which is non-tenured and authorized through 06/30/2027. Limited Service positions are established for specially funded projects or programs.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or higher in criminal justice, data analysis, public administration, or related field.
  • OR Three (3) years or more of experience in law enforcement, records case management, public safety systems, or public safety research.
  • Must pass a department conducted background check.
  • Must pass a federal secret clearance to retain employment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, and Access
  • Proficiency with any analytical software.
