The Crew Scheduling Supervisor oversees and supports the Crew Scheduling team and is available to step in to situations that warrant a higher level of action. This role requires a detailed working knowledge of applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR’s), Crew Member Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs), and Company crew scheduling procedures and policies. The supervisor will guide, empower, and develop the skills of the crew scheduling employees, ensuring crew member assignments comply with all relevant regulations and agreements. They will maintain day-to-day operations, manage staffing and legality concerns, and provide on-the-job training. Responsibilities also include hiring, discipline, termination recommendations, managing employee schedules, PTO, shift trades, sick time, department coverage, and overtime. The role is responsible for the accuracy of data within the Crew Scheduling system, providing feedback to leadership, ensuring policy adherence, conducting system audits, and acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME). The supervisor will assist with system testing, interface with other departments, evaluate non-routine requests, provide operational summaries, conduct investigations, and complete delegated projects. Regular attendance is essential, and other duties may be assigned.
