About The Position

This position is for an occasional hourly Crew Member in Visitor Services for Conservation Parks. The role involves providing excellent customer service and administrative functions in the delivery of conservation area operations, programming, and special events. The Crew Member will work out of the gatehouse and park store at Terra Cotta Conservation Area, reporting to the Senior Coordinator, Conservation Parks. This role is integral to the Conservation Parks team and offers a range of experiences and skills for those interested in a career in the outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Providing visitors with detailed information about Conservation Areas and surrounding areas from a recreational and educational perspective.
• Operating a point-of-sale system including online and in-person sales, reservations, and payments.
• Safe operation and inspection of office equipment at the park gatehouse.
• Answer a high volume of calls and emails to reserve facilities and equipment, answer inquiries, and provide guidance for visitors.
• Correspond with staff and visitors via email, phone, text, or internal communication system.
• Collecting accurate data, including customer information and postal codes.
• Maintenance and cleaning of workspace and staff washroom.
