About The Position

This role requires a complete understanding of all material handling, inventory control practices, and reporting operations. The Crew Leader will operate with a high level of professionalism and have the ability to work effectively with leads, supervisors, and upper management. This position involves managing various aspects of inventory, ensuring accuracy, and coordinating with different departments and project management to meet customer needs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to read work orders/prints
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Print reading ability
  • Must be able to problem solve
  • Must have knowledge of custom store fixture industry and receiving
  • Ability to clearly identify product from package labels
  • Exceptional attention to detail and quality
  • Willingness to work flexible and overtime hours as needed

Responsibilities

  • Provide direction to others and represent themselves as a leader.
  • Operate as Manager when Manager is off floor or not in building.
  • Possess expert understanding of all other material handling roles.
  • Have a complete understanding of all other departments and how to interact with them.
  • Engage in active communication with employees and upper management.
  • Locate product, complete cycle counts, and perform all necessary transactions to confirm, verify, and ensure inventory and financial accuracy.
  • Work directly with project management and project coordinators to expedite customer requests.
  • Complete and close jobs, including putting items into inventory, assigning locations, managing Excel-based reports (e.g., negative report), and handling inventory transfers.
  • Organize, plan, and provide tools and information to prepare shipments for unloading or transit.
  • Inspect inbound or outbound goods, confirm paperwork matches actual items, and address any discrepancies or damage with a lead or manager.
  • Work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Complete cycle counts upon request and provide results to a lead or area manager.
  • Validate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for accuracy and correct them through the CSF process.
  • Determine the method, location, and area of storage and provide data for inventory transactions.
  • Show proficiency and accuracy in completing picking and bin-to-bin transfers in the ERP system.
  • Be responsible for specific tasks or roles as assigned (e.g., Receiving/Shipping clerk).
  • Operate all lift equipment, potentially limited to lower rack heights or lower weight moves.
  • Scan QR and Bar codes and complete basic pick transactions.
