About The Position

The Crew Leader performs daily distribution yard activities at a facility, including receiving, storing, and shipping or building loads. The role operates forklifts, verifies that loads match orders before vehicles leave the yard, and performs customer service activities. Crew Leaders use knowledge of building materials and warehouse operations, adapt to warehouse routines, apply fundamental math, and maintain good housekeeping. They follow safety programs and OSHA regulations and demonstrate commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or two years of equivalent work experience.
Ability to understand and communicate safety and other work-related instructions.
Ability to work in a warehouse or yard environment with considerable physical exertion and in all weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

Typically more than five years of experience in a related job function.
Technical certification or an associate degree may be required for the role.
In-depth knowledge of building materials products, warehouse operations, and/or BMD products or operations.
Ability to understand and apply fundamental mathematical calculations.
Accuracy in checking, posting, counting, addition, subtraction, fractions, and linear measurement.
Good personal interaction and supervisory skills.
