Crew Leader, Erosion Control
About The Position
This role involves managing a small crew of 2-3 laborers to perform various erosion control and construction tasks. The Crew Leader will be responsible for the daily operations of the crew, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to standard. This includes tasks such as silt fence installation, hydroseeding, underdrain installation, manhole punch work, bond release items, asphalt patching, and crack sealing. The position also requires operating heavy equipment like mini-excavators and skid steers, managing daily paperwork, and loading/unloading materials. Effective communication with clients and project management staff is essential.
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s license
- Experience driving a truck with trailer
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Eligible for employment in the United States
- 3 years’ construction or landscaping experience
- Experience with Bobcats and/or mini excavator
- Reliable transportation
Nice To Haves
- Super Silt Fence, Silt fence, seeding, punch work, or under drain experience preferred
- Silt fence or under drain experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Manage a crew of 2-3 laborers on a daily basis
- Manage and complete work such as silt fence installation, hydroseeding, underdrain installation, manhole punch work, bond release items, asphalt patching and crack sealing
- Operate mini-excavators and skid steers to perform daily job functions
- Complete daily paperwork including but not limited to daily job tickets, time sheets
- Trench/Excavate
- Load and unload construction materials
- Respectfully Communicate directly with Client Representatives, Superintendents, and Project Managers
