About The Position
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Erosion Control Superintendent to oversee erosion control crews and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards. This individual will manage daily field operations, coordinate manpower and equipment, maintain compliance with environmental regulations, and support overall project success. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can manage crews, communicate effectively with project managers and clients, and maintain productivity in a fast-paced construction environment.
Requirements
- Experience in erosion control, grading, utilities, or civil construction required
- Ability to read site plans and construction drawings
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple crews and projects simultaneously
- Valid driver’s license required
- OSHA knowledge and safety-minded approach to operations
Nice To Haves
- Prior superintendent or crew leadership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of erosion control BMPs and environmental compliance
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage erosion control crews on multiple job sites
- Coordinate daily scheduling of manpower, equipment, and materials
- Ensure installation and maintenance of erosion control measures according to plans and specifications
- Maintain compliance with local, state, and environmental regulations
- Conduct site inspections and identify corrective actions when needed
- Communicate daily with project managers, superintendents, and field personnel
- Track production, crew performance, and job progress
- Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently
- Train and mentor crew members and foremen
- Manage job site quality control and address issues proactively
- Complete daily reports, documentation, and incident reporting as required
- Coordinate equipment needs and ensure proper care of company assets
- Maintain professional relationships with customers, inspectors, and subcontractors
