About The Position

The Crew Lead supervises and coordinates a 15-person crew within a mining operation. The role involves troubleshooting and resolving operational issues, demonstrating leadership, and mentoring operators. The Crew Lead ensures compliance with safety regulations, maintains clean and orderly work areas, and performs all work in accordance with Federal and State mining laws and company policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a mining or similar industrial setting.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
• Excellent leadership and mentorship capabilities.
• Familiarity with Federal and State mining laws and regulations.
• Commitment to safety and the ability to enforce safety protocols.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the crew, motivating and guiding team members toward operational goals.
• Troubleshoot operational issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain productivity; identify potential problems and implement preventive measures.
• Mentor operators by providing guidance and support so they meet their responsibilities and develop professionally.
• Enforce and promote crew adherence to safety regulations.
• Conduct work activities in compliance with Federal and State mining laws and company policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas and oversee cleanliness protocols.
• Facilitate effective communication within the crew and with other departments to coordinate tasks.
