We’re looking for a hands-on Field Technician to lead a team delivering residential energy efficiency and weatherization upgrades across New Jersey. You’ll continue to work in the field while developing your leadership skills—coaching your crew, owning job quality, and helping scale a fast-growing operation.
Requirements
- 3+ years in home improvement or skilled trades (weatherization, HVAC, insulation, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of home systems and residential construction
- Proven ability to lead or mentor others (formal or informal)
- A player/coach mindset – willing to work hands-on while leading a crew
- Problem solver who takes ownership and drives results
- Must hold a valid driver's license
- Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located without the need for employer sponsorship or support.
- Must pass pre-employment checks.
- Must successfully pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test and consent to the company obtaining a motor vehicle report evidencing a satisfactory driving record.
- Must maintain a clean driving record as an ongoing requirement for continued employment.

Responsibilities
- Oversee and work alongside a crew of technicians performing residential upgrades (insulation, air sealing, efficiency improvements)
- Train technicians on best practices, safety, and quality standards
- Ensure projects are completed correctly, efficiently, and to program standards
- Troubleshoot installation challenges and recommend practical solutions on-site
- Build trust with homeowners and partners while driving program participation
- Document work, capture inspection results, and keep operations teams informed
