About The Position

The Crew Chief is an important member of the management team, focused on delivering top-notch customer service. Working with the General Manager, the Crew Chief guides the crew, keeps operations running smoothly, and supports sales growth. The role offers training across different jobs, leadership experience, and opportunities for advancement and career growth. The Crew Chief helps grow revenue by increasing guest count and improving lead measures such as core sales mix, MultiCare, and Core Plus. The role also supports team development, customer experience, quality control, inventory management, financial performance, and a clean and safe service center.

Requirements

One to three years of retail management experience; professional automotive experience is not required.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Proven leadership ability, including the ability to inspire and motivate diverse groups of people.
Sound business sense and a comprehensive understanding of the retail industry.
Ability to analyze, comprehend, and recommend financial objectives that help increase sales and service results.
Positive, helpful attitude and professional conduct and appearance.
Enjoyment of and energy for a fast-paced, flexible, high-performance retail environment.
A “Guest First” mindset.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to stand on hard surfaces such as concrete or metal.
Ability to lift and move work-related items weighing up to 50 pounds.
At least 18 years of age.
Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

Work directly with the General Manager to support revenue growth by increasing guest count and improving lead measure performance, including core sales mix, MultiCare, and Core Plus.
Coach the team in delivering excellent customer service and an exceptional guest experience.
Set a positive leadership example and build team engagement and efficiency.
Develop teammates through the internal training program, ongoing guidance, coaching, and direction.
Ensure quality control measures and processes are consistently followed.
Carry out other duties and projects necessary for the position, including inventory, cash handling, guest issues and concerns, and critical initiatives with the District Manager.
Assist the General Manager with budgeting, sales forecasts, financial performance, and expense controls.
Provide clear and detailed direction to the team.
Ensure the service center is clean, safe, and presentable according to the Guide to Excellence (GTE).
Guide and mentor automotive technicians and customer service advisors (CSAs).
Perform opening and closing duties when the General Manager is off.
Assist the General Manager in building and maintaining an engaged workforce that reflects customer volume and business needs.
Lead daily team huddles and store meetings, setting direction for achieving business goals.
Manage inventory and product orders to meet business needs.
Follow and hold others accountable to rules and regulations that maintain a safe and productive work environment for teammates and guests.
Assist guests with questions and needs in person, electronically, or by telephone.
Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
