About The Position
This position involves operating a creep feed grinding machine to grind open end wrench surfaces to precise specifications. The role requires loading and unloading parts, changing and dressing grinding wheels, maintaining crush rolls, balancing wheels, and making setups and changes. Additionally, the operator will originate CNC programs.
Requirements
- Ability to use advanced shop mathematics.
- Ability to work with complicated, involved drawings, specifications and formulas.
- Ability to use a wide variety of precision measuring instruments.
- Broad knowledge in the application techniques of a recognized trade or craft.
Responsibilities
- Grind open end wrench surface, load and unload parts to fixture.
- Grind open end to print specification.
- Change and dress grinding wheels and maintain crush rolls.
- Balance wheels and make set ups and changes and originates CNC programs.
