About The Position

We are pleased to offer the opportunity to work as a Credit Union Administrator with the DuPage County Employees Credit Union. This position will be responsible for all aspects of the Credit Union, including execution of all policies and procedures as it adheres to the operation of the Credit Union, as set forth by the Credit Union Board of Directors.

Requirements

  • Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Five (5) years of experience in a management position with a financial institution
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job
  • A pre-employment background check is required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Board of Directors with the creation of, or changes to the policies of the Credit Union
  • Ensure the completion and accuracy of all accounting records and financial reports including federal and state regulatory reports
  • Work with the Board of Directors in developing a strategic plan of action, to ensure the long term success of the Credit Union, while ensuring that the membership’s financial interest is best served
  • Report monthly to the board of Directors on the performance of the compliance with the State and Federal Credit Union Acts, generally accepted accounting principles, as well as the DuPage County Employee Credit Union by-laws
  • Exercise the utmost integrity in the role of fiduciary custodian, empowered with the internal and external safety of the funds of the Credit Union membership
  • Recommends hires and promotions, directs and evaluates employment decisions for all assigned positions
  • Prepare quarterly newsletters and advertising brochures
  • Ensure adequate bond and insurance coverage, executes contracts and commitments as required by the by-laws
  • Recommend the acquisition or enhancement to ensure success of assets
  • Coordination, planning and facilitation of staff training
  • Maintain an effective program for the retention and timely destruction of Credit Union records
  • Maintain internal controls and procedures to protect against loss of records
  • Supervise a budget for the Credit Union that is consistent with the overall strategic plan
  • Carry out collection activities related to delinquent consumer accounts
  • Keep abreast of economic, regulatory, or industry changes which may affect the Credit Union
  • Cross sell products and services offered by the Credit Union
  • Solicit and secure third-party vendors as a means of improving product and service quality
  • Coordinate and attend Credit Union planning sessions, attend seminars, education forums, etc. as requested by the Board of Directors
