About The Position

Geotab is seeking a Credit Risk & Recovery Manager to build and manage its end-to-end commercial credit risk and account recovery program. This role is critical for scaling the company globally and involves managing both the credit lifecycle from onboarding to account recovery. The ideal candidate will have a passion for financial analysis, process building, and influencing global stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial credit evaluation, credit limit setting, and risk analysis in a B2B environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing third-party collections agencies, including performance oversight and account assignment.
  • Experience coordinating with legal counsel on debt recovery matters, including litigation, demand letters, and settlements.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and accounts receivable management platforms.
  • Familiarity with credit evaluation tools such as Dun & Bradstreet, Equifax, or equivalent credit bureau platforms.
  • Experience in a technology or SaaS business environment strongly preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Credit Executive (CCE) or Credit Business Associate (CBA) designation is an asset but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Managing Geotab's full commercial credit risk lifecycle, evaluating credit limits for new and existing customers.
  • Leading escalated account recovery, including third-party collections and legal coordination.
  • Building and enforcing credit policies from the ground up.
  • Leveraging tools such as Dun & Bradstreet and other credit bureau data sources to assess customer creditworthiness and set risk thresholds.
  • Serving as the primary contact for Geotab's third-party collections agency, managing the relationship, establishing success criteria, and escalating to Legal when necessary.
  • Working closely with the Accounts Receivable team to define clear escalation criteria and ensure seamless handoffs.
  • Partnering with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Customer Success to balance risk management with revenue growth priorities.
  • Evaluating and approving credit limits for new customers based on financial analysis, credit bureau reporting, payment history, and established risk criteria.
  • Reviewing, maintaining, and adjusting credit limits for existing customers.
  • Developing, implementing, and enforcing credit policies, procedures, and risk thresholds.
  • Partnering with the Accounts Receivable team to define escalation criteria and thresholds.
  • Coordinating legal escalations for delinquent or high-risk accounts.
  • Assessing and recommending accounts for write-off.
  • Collaborating with Sales, Finance, Legal, Accounts Receivable, and Customer Success teams.
  • Preparing and presenting regular credit risk metrics, portfolio performance reports, and bad debt analysis to Finance leadership.
