About The Position

Grain Millers, Inc. is seeking a Credit Manager to lead and strengthen its credit operations while supporting smart, responsible business growth. This role is responsible for evaluating credit risk, setting and enforcing credit policies, and ensuring the health of the accounts receivable portfolio. The Credit Manager will play a critical role in protecting the company from unnecessary financial exposure while partnering with the business to enable productive customer relationships. This position requires a thoughtful, solutions-oriented professional who balances firmness with fairness when managing credit risk, is comfortable making and explaining decisions, and possesses a strong sense of integrity. The role involves frequent interaction with stakeholders at all levels and serves as a key liaison between business and systems teams.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of experience in credit operations, including credit analysis and collections
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Experience working with ERP systems and credit/accounts receivable modules
Proven ability to manage credit portfolios, monitor exposure, and minimize bad debt

Responsibilities

Evaluate and approve creditworthiness of new and existing customers, including setting appropriate credit limits
Manage collections activity for past-due accounts, including negotiation of repayment terms
Develop, implement, and enforce credit policies, scoring models, and exposure limits
Monitor credit portfolios, assess risk exposure, and recommend bad debt reserves
Serve as business owner for credit-related systems, supporting enhancements, controls, and training
