About The Position

Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is seeking a Credit Manager that will be responsible for overseeing the credit granting process for Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions in the Americas region, with additional support responsibilities for Asia Pacific and Europe. This role ensures consistent application of credit policies, including periodic reviews of existing customers, assessment of new customer creditworthiness, credit approvals for service and maintenance, order release management, and customer payment term approvals. The position requires strong leadership, financial analysis expertise, and the ability to build effective cross-functional and external relationships. The Credit Manager also maintains relationships with credit reporting agencies such as Dun & Bradstreet and Credit Risk Monitor and must be able to communicate clearly with diverse audiences. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
  • 10+ years of experience as a Credit Analyst.
  • 4+ years of people management experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with collections processes, practices, and collaboration.
  • Superior financial statement analysis skills, including understanding of key financial ratios.
  • Strong knowledge of credit risk rating methodologies.
  • Knowledge of local and international credit practices, including security instruments (letters of credit, collateral, corporate guarantees).
  • Ability to collaborate with Sales to establish appropriate credit lines balancing revenue growth and risk.
  • Experience executing credit strategies and understanding bankruptcy laws.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency with Excel and Word; ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with strict deadlines.
  • Experience using Oracle or a similar ERP system.
  • Experience leading teams and driving process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to Credit Analysts, ensuring consistent application of credit policy.
  • Submit high‑risk or high‑value credit requests to senior management.
  • Deliver coaching, feedback, training, and backup support on credit processes.
  • Prepare monthly customer and credit risk analysis reports.
  • Manage credit risk for a customer portfolio, including large and strategic accounts.
  • Approve all maintenance and professional service contracts per assigned credit authority.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Collections to manage order risk and control credit exposure.
  • Approve and oversee all customer credit holds.
  • Partner with Sales and Sales Operations to obtain credit information and support credit decisions.
  • Review and negotiate credit language in new contracts.
  • Maintain proactive communication with Sales and customers.
  • Work with Legal on all bankruptcy-related accounts.
  • Maintain relationships with financial institutions, collection agencies, and credit reporting agencies such as Dun & Bradstreet and Credit Risk Monitor.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and carry out management-directed tasks
