The Credit Manager provides varying levels of information and counsel/advisory in areas of controls/risk management, pricing, cost, marketing strategies, return on investment decisions, mergers/acquisitions/divestitures and the development of overall business plans and strategies. This role translates business strategy into financial targets and tactical plans, supporting execution in a controlled risk and reward-based manner. The Credit Manager partners with business teams to develop operating and financial plans, performs analysis of business performance versus budget and forecast, and conducts benchmarking of key performance indicators. This role executes financial process improvements by maintaining financial tools, recommending automation, and performing cost/benefit and sensitivity analysis. The Credit Manager leads in-depth analysis to inform performance management discussions, integrates operational outcomes and financial performance, and creates automated reports using business intelligence tools. This role establishes customer credit limits to support revenue growth and minimize bad debt risk, develops and implements strategies to overcome credit management challenges, and serves as the primary interface with customer executive finance teams. The Credit Manager builds relationships within SMG, CPLG, customers, and 3rd party vendors to develop and implement collaborative strategies. They engage in external benchmarking, lead business process management (BPM) activities, and lead cross-functional projects. This role creatively solves problems, generates business value, designs and delivers effective presentations, and autonomously monitors environmental changes, adapting and taking initiative. The Credit Manager incorporates a global view and external perspective when gathering information, designing solutions, and making decisions.
