USESI, is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Credit Analyst/Credit Manager to join our team. This position will be located in our White Plains, NY location. The Credit Manager/Credit Analyst evaluates customer creditworthiness, monitors financial risk, and recommends strategies to optimize credit decisions and minimize delinquencies. This role requires strong analytical, communication, and decision-making skills to align credit policies with organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Advanced analytical skills to evaluate creditworthiness and financial risk.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with customers and internal teams.
  • Advanced negotiation skills to establish favorable payment terms and resolve disputes.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and account reconciliation.
  • Problem-solving skills to address account discrepancies and propose effective solutions.
  • Decision-making and organizational skills to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to adapt to new software systems and processes.
  • 2+ years of experience in a credit or collections role with exposure to financial analysis.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration) is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and manage assigned customers’ credit limits, ensuring alignment with company policies and risk tolerance.
  • Recommend and implement strategies for managing specific customer accounts, and overall credit portfolio.
  • Monitor and evaluate delinquency trends and account conditions to identify and mitigate risks. Establish and implement actions to mitigate risks.
  • Communicate with customers to resolve past due accounts, negotiate payment terms, and facilitate resolution of disputes.
  • Direct junior team members, such as Credit Associates, to handle and execute administrative and clerical tasks. Credit Managers/Credit Analysts will be responsible for ensuring completion of assigned tasks, assume accountability and provide feedback.
  • Participate in annual evaluation performance of junior team members, including observations of work performance and productivity.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of customer interactions, decisions, and account actions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Sales, Branch Managers, and Cash Applications, to resolve account discrepancies and support customer needs.
  • Reconcile accounts and provide detailed analyses to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
  • Prepare specialized billing reports and respond to customer inquiries related to credit or account status.
  • Provide strategic recommendations on credit approvals by reviewing customer orders and evaluating credit limits.
  • Conduct data analysis using financial metrics and trends to inform strategic credit decisions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to streamline credit processes and minimize delays.
  • Perform ongoing system maintenance to ensure accuracy of customer and account data.
  • Generate and deliver detailed reports to department managers on account performance and collection progress.
  • Prepare and submit customer billings using AIA format and 3rd party online billing sites.
