Credit & Financial Operations Analyst

DAT•Seattle, OR
•$80,000 - $118,000•Hybrid

About The Position

DAT Freight & Analytics is seeking a detail-oriented Credit & Financial Operations Analyst to join its Finance and Accounting Team. The role supports forward flow receivables purchase facility reporting and Outgo month-end close, helping provide operational depth as the frequency of accounts receivable sales increases. It offers exposure to credit facilities, FinTech financial operations, and Roper-level reporting standards. The position reports directly to the Principal of Credit & Financial Operations. The analyst prepares weekly accounts receivable sales data packages, supports receivables eligibility determinations, maintains reporting workbooks, and serves as a trained backup for facility submissions. The role also assists with monthly and quarterly lender reporting, Outgo month-end close activities, reconciliations, schedules, and data extracts. It supports process documentation, workflow improvements, and SOX control execution in alignment with Roper Technologies requirements. DAT describes its work environment as hybrid. The position is part of a growing Finance and Accounting team in a high-growth FinTech division, with recurring reporting deadlines and a three-day Outgo close cycle. Salary ranges disclosed are $86,000–$118,000 for Washington-based candidates and $80,000–$103,000 for Oregon-based candidates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 1–3 years of experience in accounting or financial operations.
  • Hands-on accounting experience with close cycles, reconciliations, journal entries, or accounts receivable/accounts payable; financial analysis alone does not meet this requirement.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP, month-end close processes, and reconciliation methodology.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including large, complex workbooks, data reconciliation, and formula-driven models.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite or SAP, and with how accounting data flows through a general ledger.
  • Comfort using AI models such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot as a daily work tool for drafting, analysis, research, and workflow automation.
  • Willingness to develop Snowflake or SQL skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in high-stakes, time-sensitive reporting.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple recurring deadlines.
  • Proactive communication, including surfacing problems early.
  • Intellectual curiosity and interest in understanding the reasons behind the numbers.
  • Ability to operate in an environment of ambiguity and change.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA track, CPA candidate status, or coursework toward a CPA.
  • Exposure to credit facilities, lender reporting, or FinTech financial operations.
  • Experience in a high-velocity, deadline-driven environment, such as fast close cycles or daily or weekly reporting.
  • Snowflake experience or strong SQL proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and assemble weekly accounts receivable sales data packages for submission under the receivables purchase facility, currently four times per month.
  • Support receivables eligibility determinations by verifying data inputs and flagging ineligible or concentration-breaching invoices before submission.
  • Maintain and update accounts receivable sales and RPA workbooks, and promptly flag anomalies or data quality issues to the Principal.
  • Serve as a trained backup for receivables purchase facility submission processes.
  • Assist with monthly lender reporting packages, including data pulls, reconciliations, and covenant calculations.
  • Support quarterly lender reporting preparation under the Principal’s direction.
  • Maintain organized filing and version control for lender submissions and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with Outgo month-end close activities, including meeting the three-day close cycle and Business Day 2 data deadlines.
  • Prepare reconciliations, supporting schedules, and data extracts as directed.
  • Monitor Outgo dashboards daily and escalate trends, anomalies, or funding concerns to the Principal.
  • Maintain and improve process documentation and runbooks for recurring reporting tasks.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce manual effort in reporting workbooks.
  • Support SOX control execution for in-scope processes in alignment with Roper Technologies compliance requirements.
