The Cornell University Office of the University Registrar (OUR) is responsible for implementing and monitoring academic and administrative policies, acting as the steward of academic and student information. The OUR collaborates with academic units, departments, colleges, and schools to facilitate faculty teaching and student learning, champions the renewal of student information systems, adapts to changing academic needs and policies, and evaluates administrative processes for service improvements. The Credit Evaluation and Veterans Affairs Coordinator is a dual-function role within the OUR, supporting institutional compliance and student success through transfer credit evaluation, systems administration, and regulatory reporting. This position serves as the primary transfer credit processor and School Certifying Official (SCO) for the School of Continuing Education’s (SCE) Bachelor of Professional Studies (BPS) program, Cornell University’s first fully online, part-time degree program designed for adult learners with existing college credits. The coordinator is a member of both the OUR Credit Evaluation and Compliance teams, ensuring business continuity through cross-training. The role includes a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Director of Admissions and College Registrar in SCE and collaborates with various campus partners including Undergraduate Admissions, Financial Aid, the Bursar, the Office of Enrollment Compliance and Design (OECD), Cornell Information Technology, and college registrar offices. This position is integral to OUR's participation in compliance initiatives and systems projects, contributing business requirements, evaluating and testing technology solutions, and supporting implementations.
