About The Position
The Credit Card Sales Associate (Credit Card Champion) engages customers in needs‑based conversations to promote the Meijer Credit Card while delivering a positive customer experience, accurately communicating benefits, and meeting application goals in compliance with all confidentiality and company standards.
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- Strong listening and communications skills, face-to-face and virtually
- Willingness to learn or existing familiarity with job-specific technology
- Problem-solving competence and eagerness to troubleshoot when necessary
- Desire to work with customers
- Good verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented and organized
- Friendly outgoing attitude
- Ability to operate cashier register system
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in retail sales, customer service, or credit/financial products
- Experience working with sales goals or quotas
- Experience working with customer engagement or promotions
- Familiarity with Meijer front‑end operations (Service Desk, SCO, lanes, Electronics)
- Comfortable coaching or supporting other team members on credit card awareness
- Previous retail or customer experience preferred but not required
