About The Position

Smyth Companies, a manufacturer of high-end labels and flexible packaging for consumer goods, is seeking a service-minded Credit and Collections Manager to lead our credit and collections function out of Minneapolis, MN. Reporting to the Business Unit Controller, you'll take ownership of the full credit-to-cash cycle — from risk assessment to hands-on collections — while working closely with our Accounting team to protect cash flow and support the needs of our customers and our business.

Requirements

• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to turn AR aging data into a clear collections strategy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment
• Sound judgment, strong organizational skills, and high attention to detail
• A collaborative mindset with the flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed
• Experience working with Fortune 500 companies and customer credit portals

Nice To Haves

• Manufacturing industry experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Manage the accounts receivable aging process, identifying priority accounts and driving collection results
• Screen and monitor credit risk for both new and existing customer accounts
• Onboard new customers and manage ongoing customer credit portals
• Establish and track KPIs to measure and continuously improve collections performance
• Report credit and collections performance to executive leadership and management
• Partner with the Accounting team to support broader financial operations and special projects
