About The Position

Starion Bank is hiring an experienced Credit Analyst for any of its branches in North Dakota or Wisconsin. The position analyzes credit requests and existing loans, prepares financial spreads and Credit Approval Presentations, and supports sound credit decisions. The analyst also advises lending staff on complex credit matters and contributes to credit administration, policy, training, and risk management initiatives. Placement at the Credit Analyst II or III level depends on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business administration, or a related field.
Three to eight years of related credit analysis, lending, or financial analysis experience.
Strong financial statement analysis, credit risk assessment, loan structuring, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and provide sound technical guidance on complex credit matters.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to educate and advise others.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Nice To Haves

Database or financial software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Analyze new and existing credit requests, including complex credits, and prepare financial spreads and Credit Approval Presentations (CAPs).
Conduct annual credit reviews and recommend assessments of creditworthiness, risk, and appropriate loan structures.
Advise lenders on complex credit transactions, financial analysis, risk assessments, and servicing needs.
Lead or assist with credit administration projects, process improvements, regulatory changes, system enhancements, and risk management initiatives.
Support loan policy administration by providing guidance and recommending improvements or clarifications.
Identify training needs and provide credit-related training and guidance to lending staff.
Conduct appraisal reviews as needed.
