About The Position

The Credit Analyst Level I is responsible for activities that support the timely collection or resolution of delinquent balances within an assigned portfolio of customer accounts receivable. The role includes reviewing aging reports, contacting customers with past-due balances, maintaining notification records, and coordinating with sales representatives about delinquent customers. The analyst must follow credit policies and procedures and maintain regular, reliable attendance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least two years of accounting experience.

Nice To Haves

• Accounting experience within a distribution business.
• Some college courses in business or accounting.

Responsibilities

• Review weekly accounts receivable aging reports to prioritize collection calls.
• Call customers with past-due balances, averaging 20–30 calls per day.
• Maintain the weekly COD warning and delinquent customer notification spreadsheet.
• Keep sales representatives informed about delinquent customers within their territories.
• Understand and adhere to credit policies and procedures for collecting and reporting delinquent accounts.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
