About The Position

The Credit Analyst is responsible for reviewing and interpreting credit and financial statements for current and potential borrower and making recommendations regarding the extension of credit. Candidates need to be able to identify credit requirements based on funding method, including commercial, consumer, SBA, FSA, and USDA. Duties include gathering and tracking financial information necessary for analysis, preparing and presenting results with customers, monitoring credit activities to identify potential underwriting exceptions, making on-site visual inspections of properties and equipment, interaction with government agencies regarding guaranteed loan funding, and reviewing and maintaining all credit files. Will also assist in compiling data and drafting reports for management and Board of Directors. Performs complex financial mathematical calculations and activities that require a thorough, detailed review of all documents used and created in the credit review process. Most written work will be completed utilizing the following software’s: Jack Henry Silverlake and Excel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • A minimum of two year of bank experience; or A combination of education, training and experience
  • Ability to create a home office that allows for the handling of private and confidential data, documents, and conversations.
  • Excellent customer service and strong communication skills
  • Strong mathematical, problem-solving and computer skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and work organization skills
  • Ability to apply and enforce regulatory standards for ethical behavior, confidentiality and information security
  • Ability to maintain productivity standards while working independently, with minimum supervision
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel or similar program
  • Strong organizational skills, including multi-tasking.

Nice To Haves

  • Jack Henry Silverlake experience preferred
  • Knowledge of government guarantee loan guidelines for structuring and funding is ideal
