The Credit Administrator is responsible for providing direct assistance to the Credit Manager and the Credit Analyst in the administration of granting credit and collection of accounts due to the company. Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ administrative and computer experience in a multiple person office
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including verbal, written and listening skills
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, guidelines and laws, problem solving skills and reading, spelling and mathematical skills
  • Project management skills and the ability to manage change
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • The employee is frequently required to sit.
  • The employee must frequently lift, carry, push, pull and /or otherwise move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates or 4 year degree highly preferred.
  • SAP, AS400, DBS preferred

Responsibilities

  • Processes new customer credit applications, researches customers' financial condition, obtain trade references, and obtain appropriate reports to determine the degree of credit risk.
  • Review and interpret documents such as credit reports, company policies and procedure’s manuals.
  • Setup and maintain customer accounts within AS400 and SAP systems.
  • Assist with research and release of orders placed on credit hold following established guidelines.
  • Assist with identifying delinquent accounts and providing support during the collection process.
  • Recommends credit limit adjustments or collection based on credit history.
  • Research and respond promptly to customer inquiries and assist with account reconciliation.
  • Process payments for customers and update account notes.
  • Scan and maintain credit files.
  • Assist with switchboard coverage.
  • Other duties as assigned.
