Job Summary: Coordinates the appointment, credentialing, and re-credentialing processes (under the Manager/Medical Staff Services’ general supervision) for medical and allied health staff members in accordance with Medical Staff Bylaws and The Joint Commission (TJC) standards. Responsible for maintaining medical and allied health staff members’ information in existing systems. Provides information to requesting departments, hospitals, and agencies. Plans, coordinates, and performs administrative activities for medical staff meetings and special affairs; assists the manager and committee chairs with fulfilling required functions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year of payer enrollment or provider credentialling experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Computer skills.
  • Web-based products proficiency.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in healthcare or business administration
  • Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) or Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) credential(s) from the National Association Medical Staff Services (NAMSS).
