About The Position

Rocky Vista University (RVU) is seeking a part-time Credentialing Coordinator for the DNAP program. This role is responsible for ensuring all DNAP students meet the credentialing requirements for their clinical facilities. The coordinator will monitor student case logs, collaborate with clinical coordinators and the Assistant Program Director of Clinical Affairs on placement needs and exposure requirements, and act as a liaison between the department and Admissions for interview scheduling and candidate selection. Requirements

  • Ensure the credentialing compliance of every DNAP student at every primary and enrichment clinical facility.
  • Monitor student case log submissions in Typhon.
  • Coordinate closely with the Clinical Coordinator(s) and Assistant Program Director of Clinical Affairs on placement needs and clinical exposure requirements.
  • Serve as the department liaison to Admissions for interview scheduling, clinical coordinator participation, and candidate selection.
  • Verify that each student's credentialing file meets site-specific and program requirements.
  • Flag credentialing deficiencies for resolution.
  • Maintain accurate, current credentialing records for each student, including immunizations, background checks, drug screenings, licensure, required certifications (e.g., BLS/ACLS), health documentation, and any facility-specific compliance items.
  • Track credentialing deadlines and expirations.
  • Proactively notify students and follow up to ensure timely submission and renewal of required documentation.
  • Flag credentialing-related barriers to placement for resolution by appropriate program leadership.
  • Coordinate interview scheduling and facilitate Clinical Coordinators' participation in interviews and selection of preferred candidates.
  • Facilitate the connection between the Admissions Department and newly selected students.
  • Maintain consistent communication from application through selection, enrollment, and matriculation.
  • Communicate with facility credentialing offices, compliance officers, and clinical site administrators to confirm student eligibility and resolve documentation discrepancies.
  • Maintain the program's credentialing tracking system.
  • Generate status reports for program and clinical leadership upon request.
  • Coordinate regularly with the Assistant Program Director of Clinical Affairs on credentialing standards, placement readiness, and process improvements.
  • Support new-student onboarding by orienting incoming students to credentialing requirements and expectations for each clinical facility.
  • Identify opportunities to improve credentialing workflows and recommend process enhancements to program leadership.
  • Closely monitor the Typhon system to ensure students are submitting required clinical case logs completely, accurately, and on schedule.
  • Track and report on students' progress toward the clinical case exposure required to sit for the National Certification Examination (NCE) upon graduation.
  • Track individual student progress toward Council on Accreditation (COA) case log requirements.
  • Identify students at risk of deficiency and escalate concerns to the Assistant Program Director of Clinical Affairs.
  • Track Council on Accreditation (COA) requirements and timelines for clinical site visits at each affiliated facility.
  • Notify program leadership of upcoming site visit needs.
  • Monitor the currency and renewal status of clinical facility affiliation agreements.
  • Flag expiring or expired agreements to the Assistant Program Director of Clinical Affairs for timely renewal.
  • Maintain current records of each Clinical Coordinator's name and credentials at affiliated clinical facilities.
  • Secure updated curriculum vitae (CVs) as required by the Council on Accreditation (COA) as part of the program's accreditation compliance obligations.

  • Equivalent experience in credentialing, clinical coordination, or progressively responsible administrative roles may be considered.
  • Experience in medical, clinical, or healthcare credentialing.
  • Experience supporting clinical placement, compliance, or regulatory activities in a healthcare education setting.
