About The Position

The Credentialing Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to the Credentialing team by managing documentation, processing compliance and verification tasks, and assisting in the maintenance of pending and/or active Clinician files. Specific duties and responsibilities may vary based on the business line supported (Agency — Nursing & Allied, MSP, HCS, and Locums) and will be assigned accordingly. Works closely with Credentialing team, Clients, and Clinicians depending on the business line they are supporting.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year of experience in a similar role
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively work in a fast-paced and complex environment, maintaining a sense of urgency
  • Excellent customer service skills, required
  • Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, and experience

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with occupational health

Responsibilities

  • Maintains CE Direct account including setting up Clinicians accounts as needed
  • Enters, processes, and renews National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB) registrations
  • Assists Clinicians with completing the I-9 form along with a visual inspection of supporting documents.
  • Completes E-verify for new hires and reverification for rehires, within established guidelines and time frames
  • Monitors expiring lists to/from Clients in order to provide daily status updates
  • Provide appropriate escalation of “at risk” items in the event they may impact Clinician’s assignments
  • Provide weekly reporting of expiring compliance items for client and/or Client Relations team as assigned
  • Manage/collect compliance requirements due for renewal
  • Reviews state rosters monthly to remove Clinicians as needed
  • IDFPR monthly reporting
  • Enters and maintains Clinicians into E-notify/Nursys roster
  • Completes SSN verifications via SSA as needed
  • Reviews and processes all reimbursements to ensure that guidelines are followed
  • Encouraged to participate in 1+ cross-training sessions per year (HCS, Locums, MSP, or agency) to support our shared services model
  • May be required to float to various business lines depending on business needs
