About The Position

Christian Hospital is seeking a Full-Time Credentialing Analyst to manage the credentialing, privileging, and onboarding process for new providers. This role involves conducting primary source verification, maintaining provider records (CAQH, licenses), ensuring regulatory compliance, and preparing applications for Medical Staff Committee review. The analyst will also attend and support Medical Staff Committee meetings. The VP of Medical Affairs Department serves as a liaison between the medical staff and hospital leadership, organizing the medical staff to build strategic business alliances. This position is responsible for performing activities related to the credential verification process for initial and reappointment applications for medical staff and allied health professionals. The role provides support to the Credentialing Lead and may oversee additional responsibilities in their absence, including mentoring and training the Credentialing Analyst I.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2-5 years of experience
  • No supervisor experience required

  • Prior Credentialing and/or medical staff office experience
  • CPCS and/or CPMSM Certification
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5-10 years of experience

Responsibilities

  • Manage initial credentialing, privileging, and onboarding of new providers.
  • Conduct primary source verification and maintain CAQH, licenses and credentialing records.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  • Prepare and complete provider applications for Medical Staff Committee review and approval.
  • Attend and support Medical Staff Committee meetings.
  • Verifies that credentials of medical staff, mid-level, and allied health professionals are in compliance with regulatory bodies, federal, and state agencies.
  • Maintains accurate data in credential database and permanent credential files.
  • Collaborates with medical staff and leadership to ensure credentialing and processing standards are being met.
  • Provides credentialing reports and maintains data integrity within credentialing systems.
  • Facilitates problem solving and operating system boards while participating in sub-committees created for ongoing process improvement.
