About The Position

BJC HealthCare is one of the largest nonprofit health care organizations in the United States. The Credentialing Verification Organization (CVO) is part of BJC HealthCare's Managed Care department. The CVO provides effective systems interface with all BJC Medical Staff Offices and establishes collaborative working relationships to ensure JCAHO, NCQA, and URAC compliance issues as they relate to physician credentialing. In addition, this team manages and provides oversight for cross credentialing efforts among BJC member organizations. The Credentialing Analyst I performs activities related to the entities and other affiliated instruction's credential verification process for initial and reappointment applications for medical staff and allied health professionals.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• <2 years experience
• No Supervisor Experience

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree
• 2-5 years experience
• National Ass'n Med Staff Srvcs Certification
• Prior Credentialing and/or medical staff office experience
• CPCS and/or CPMSM Certification

Responsibilities

• Verifies that credentials of medical staff, mid-level, and allied health professionals are in compliance with regulatory bodies, federal, and state agencies.
• Maintains accurate data in credential database and permanent credential files.
• Collaborates with medical staff and leadership to ensure credentialing and processing standards are being met.
• Facilitates problem solving and operating system boards while participating in sub-committees created for ongoing process improvement.
• Assist in verifying education, licensure and reference of initial and/ or reappointment physician and AHP providers.
