About The Position
BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Technician for mid-shift or overnight hours. This full-time position requires a commitment to enriching lives through remarkable care for pets in a fast-paced, dynamic, and rewarding work environment. The role involves providing quality, advanced medicine and patient care, particularly for critically ill patients, within a collaborative team setting. BluePearl is a national network of specialty and emergency pet hospitals, many operating 24/7, utilizing innovative procedures, high-tech equipment, and the latest treatment methods. Requirements
- Current associate (if applying through internal career site)
- Flexibility to work nights and weekends and holidays
- Possess unrestricted, current authorization to work in the U.S. and not require future sponsorship for an employment-based green card
Responsibilities
- Triage and obtain patient history
- Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR
- Place IVC's and advanced catheters like Jugular catheters, Central Lines or PICC lines
- Monitor and care for Ventilator Cases
- Work alongside other skilled technicians and assistants in providing excellent, advanced medicine to your patients
- Have a a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers
- Feel gratification of nursing critically ill patients back to health and reunite them with their pet parents
