Creative Strategist

Flighthouse MediaLos Angeles, CA
$71,000 - $75,000

About The Position

The Creative Strategist will be responsible for developing client-facing decks, pitch materials, campaign write-ups, and strategic narratives across new business, proactive opportunities, and active client work. You’ll work closely with creative, strategy, accounts, and leadership teams to translate ideas into clear, compelling presentations that help sell the work through. A major part of this role will be developing the actual decks themselves: shaping the story, writing the slides, organizing the flow, and making sure every presentation is clear, persuasive, and client-ready. This role is not just about making ideas sound good - it’s about making them make sense to clients. You should be able to understand the brief, the brand, the audience, the platform, the approval dynamics, and the business objective, then frame creative ideas in a way that feels exciting, strategic, executable, and easy to buy into. In addition to pitch work, this person will support select Flighthouse-owned marketing and positioning needs, including LinkedIn copy, website language, case study language, and award submissions. This should be a smaller part of the role, but an important one: helping make sure Flighthouse’s own story is as sharp and compelling as the work we pitch to clients. The right person is a strong writer, sharp thinker, and natural translator; someone who can take a brainstorm full of chaotic ideas and turn it into a clean, convincing pitch that helps clients understand why the idea works, why it matters, and why Flighthouse is the right partner to bring it to life.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in creative strategy, brand strategy, social strategy, copywriting, agency new business, entertainment marketing, or a similar role.
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to make ideas sound clear, exciting, strategic, and client-ready.
  • Experience developing pitch decks, campaign proposals, creative briefs, client presentations, or strategy materials.
  • Strong deck-building instincts; you understand how to structure a presentation, build a narrative arc, write effective slide copy, and make information easy for clients to follow.
  • Experience translating client briefs, feedback, or business objectives into strategic creative recommendations.
  • A strong understanding of social-first content, internet culture, creators, entertainment marketing, and digital platforms.
  • Ability to balance creative ambition with client realities, including budget, timing, brand guidelines, audience needs, stakeholder concerns, and approval processes.
  • Strong client empathy; you understand what clients need to hear in order to feel confident saying yes.
  • Ability to take loose ideas and turn them into structured, persuasive narratives.
  • A good creative filter: you can tell when an idea is strong, when it needs work, and how to make it easier to understand.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially in language, flow, formatting, and overall deck clarity.
  • Ability to collaborate with creative, design, accounts, and leadership without needing every step spelled out.
  • A taste level that understands the difference between culturally sharp and corporate cringe.

Responsibilities

  • Own the development of client-facing pitch decks, proposals, campaign write-ups, and strategic narratives across new business and existing client opportunities: including deck structure, slide flow, headlines, copy, rationale, and overall presentation story.
  • Translate creative concepts into clear, persuasive language that helps clients understand the insight, strategy, execution, and cultural relevance behind each idea.
  • Help sell creative ideas through by framing concepts around client objectives, audience insights, cultural relevance, platform behavior, and business impact.
  • Understand client briefs, feedback, brand priorities, approval dynamics, and stakeholder concerns - and use that understanding to shape stronger pitch narratives.
  • Pressure-test creative ideas from a client POV, identifying where concepts may need clearer rationale, stronger strategic grounding, or sharper explanation before being presented.
  • Partner with creative leads, producers, account teams, and leadership to shape campaign concepts from early ideation through final presentation.
  • Build deck narratives that do more than describe ideas: they create momentum, establish confidence, and help clients see why the recommendation is right for their brand.
  • Help structure presentations so they tell a cohesive story, including the brief, opportunity, audience insight, strategic approach, creative territories, campaign ideas, deliverables, rationale, and next steps.
  • Write sharp headlines, concept descriptions, strategic framing, campaign names, content series descriptions, and presentation copy.
  • Support proactive pitch development by identifying cultural trends, social behaviors, creator formats, entertainment moments, and platform opportunities relevant to brands and clients.
  • Help refine ideas so they feel clear, ownable, executable, and aligned with client goals.
  • Support Flighthouse’s owned marketing and positioning needs, including LinkedIn copy, website copy, case study language, agency credentials, and other external-facing materials.
  • Help draft and shape award submissions by translating campaign results, creative strategy, cultural impact, and client work into compelling written narratives.
  • Maintain consistency in how Flighthouse talks about its work, capabilities, case studies, and point of view across pitches, owned channels, and external submissions.
  • Bring a strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, creators, entertainment fandoms, internet humor, Gen Z/millennial culture, and social-first storytelling into the work.
  • Other duties as assigned
