Creative Strategist

MVR Digital•New York, NY
•$4,800 - $6,000•Remote

About The Position

MVR Digital is hiring a Creative Strategist to connect performance data with creative output for luxury and premium DTC clients. This is a performance-focused role rather than a brand-storytelling role. The strategist reviews Meta and Google advertising performance, develops testable hypotheses about what is working and why, and creates clear, actionable briefs that creative partners can execute without guesswork. The role owns the performance-to-brief pipeline, creative testing strategy, brief management and execution oversight, and UGC scripting and trend iteration. It includes tracking trends across TikTok and Instagram, adapting winning formats to client brands and offers, and iterating on UGC concepts based on performance data. The position is full-time and fully remote, open to candidates in the US and Canada. Compensation is monthly and commensurate with experience.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in creative strategy, performance marketing, or a closely related role such as media buying, copywriting, or performance-focused brand marketing.
  • Hands-on experience writing structured creative briefs.
  • Strong written communication skills for async work with a distributed team.
  • Hands-on UGC scriptwriting experience; a portfolio or examples of scripts that became produced ads are expected or preferred.
  • Working fluency in Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads reporting, including comfort reading hook-rate and hold-rate curves.
  • Comfort working in a remote, fast-moving agency environment and managing multiple client accounts and external creative partners.

Nice To Haves

  • DTC or e-commerce experience is strongly preferred.
  • Luxury or premium brand experience is a differentiator; candidates should be able to discuss how creative instincts shift for higher-consideration purchases.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted creative research or tagging tools.
  • Basic working knowledge of Figma, Canva, or Adobe tools for communicating visual direction.

Responsibilities

  • Review Meta and Google ad performance daily to identify fatigued hooks, effective formats, and audience saturation.
  • Translate performance signals into structured creative briefs covering segment, message, hook type, format, reference, and success metric.
  • Build and prioritize a creative testing roadmap with media buyers, using specific, falsifiable hypotheses.
  • Brief designers, video editors, copywriters, and UGC creators, and oversee creative execution.
  • Maintain a tagged creative asset library so previous winning concepts can be found and iterated on.
  • Track UGC and short-form trends on TikTok and Instagram and adapt winning formats to client brands and offers before they fatigue.
  • Iterate on existing UGC concepts using performance data, including tightening hooks, testing new openers, and directing pacing changes for editors.
  • Write natural-sounding UGC-style scripts using hook, problem, proof, and CTA structure in a 15–30-second format.
  • Manage multiple client accounts and external creative partners in a remote agency environment.

  • PTO
  • Paid holidays
  • Flexible Fridays
