Creative Project Manager
About The Position
Champions Group is hiring a Creative Project Manager to manage projects for its internal creative team, which operates like an in-house advertising agency. The role owns the full lifecycle of creative work, from intake and briefing through quality control and handoff, across project types such as email, print, billboards, signage, promotional items, and collateral. The Creative Project Manager serves as the connection between stakeholders and the creative team, keeping complex workflows organized and ensuring work progresses without details falling through the cracks. This is a 100% onsite position in Brea, California.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience as an Account Manager, Project Manager, or Studio Manager.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Resourcefulness and the ability to figure things out independently without hand-holding.
- Self-starter who takes ownership and does not wait for direction.
- Strong communication skills, including comfort asking stakeholders for clarity and follow-through.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while keeping track of details.
Nice To Haves
- Agency experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience managing varied project types, including print, digital, promotional, and environmental projects.
Responsibilities
- Own project intake by gathering and clarifying requirements from stakeholders at the outset.
- Assign project resources by matching work to creative team members based on skills and bandwidth.
- Follow up proactively with stakeholders to resolve open questions and unblock work.
- Track learnings from past projects, including brand guidelines, preferred wording, and client preferences, and apply them to future work.
- Manage timelines, monitor progress, and ensure deadlines are met.
- Identify risks and roadblocks early and escalate them appropriately.
- Perform a final quality check on deliverables against brand standards and project requirements before handoff.
